The Floral Month of April!

April is the month typically associated with rain: "April showers bring May flowers." But it is also the month where plants begin to grow and flowers begin to bud.

The flower, well in this case flowers, associated with the month of April are daisies and sweet peas. They differ slightly in their meaning as well as number of varieties.

Daisies come in three popular varieties: English, Oxeye, and Shasta. However, the different varieties do not mean separate things for this birth flower. The daisy, according to gardenia.net, symbolizes innocence, love, loyalty, and new beginnings.

The Sweet Pea, unlike the daisy, comes in one variety, but many colors. It can come in a wide variety of colors, such as white, pink, red, purple, and blue. The sweet pea, according to gardenia.net, also symbolizes delicate pleasure, gratitude, goodbyes/departures, friendship, and love.

Celebrate those born in April by crafting some (or all) of the patterns below:

And there you go! Time to sprout some crochet projects! By the way, if you choose to make any of the above patterns, I'd love to see the results! You can post your makes in my FB group, Lana Tibi's Awesome Crochet Club, found here. Also, make sure to become a member in order to stay up-to-date with the newest post! Oh and, by the way, don't forget to check out my Ravelry store here!

Be well & stay awesome! 😎

P.S.

The squares are finished and have been attached with a beginner friendly join & unique border. I scrapped the granny JAYGO since it just wouldn't look right. It took longer than expected due to life getting hectic for a minute. However, they are typed up and ready to be tested now. I want testing done by May 17th at the latest since I'm planning to start the CAL in June.

Interested in testing this pattern? Comment on this blog or the post within my FB group, message me via FB messenger, or email me at lana.tibi.designs@gmail.com with the subject line: "tester app". Include your name & whether you'd like to do pink, green, yellow, a combination of two, or all. 😉
