What is a CAL?
A CAL, or crochet along, is an event where many people crochet the same pattern as it is released. It can be every few weeks to every month for a set period of time. It can also be a shown pattern, where everyone knows what they are making ahead of time, or it can be a mystery, where each piece is unknown until the release date. For my CAL, which is my first ever, I have tried to make it a mystery up until now. (Did I do a good job on that? 😅)
So, now the big reveal: we will be making a sweater & it is called the Double Diamonds Sweater! I based the design on my Double Diamonds Afghan pattern, that is reversible & non-reversible (by clicking the links I will NOT make any money, unless you choose to buy the pattern. 😉). This CAL will consist of 4 parts: A back panel, a front panel, 2 sleeves, & the neck/assembly. I plan on releasing each part on the first Monday of each month: Part 1 on May 1, 2023, Part 2 on June 5, 2023, Part 3 on July 3, 2023, & Part 4 on August 7, 2023.

Materials
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in Orchid; 100% Acrylic, 4-Medium, 7 oz, 364 yds;
and Gray Heather; 100% Acrylic, 4-Medium, 7 oz, 364 yds.
(Feel free to use any similar yarn, but be aware: sizing & yardage may differ)
Skeins needed (approximate):
Main color: 2 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6)
Accent color: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1)
Hook Size: I used a 4mm hook, but you may use whatever gives you the above gauge.
