Behind the Name

Hello again, Awesome!

Today I thought we'd explore the meaning behind my business name:

What does "Lana Tibi" mean? Is it just a random name? Or is there actual meaning behind it? Well, yes. There is meaning behind it. See, I'm a fan of language. I love the intricacies of it as well as how beautiful and diverse it is. Because of this, I also enjoy using other languages to name things like characters in games, my horses in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, & my blog! (Namely, I use Latin. Yes, the "dead" language.)

This brings me to the original question: What does "Lana Tibi" mean? When translated from Latin, "Lana" translates to "wool" & "Tibi" translates to "for you". So, "Lana Tibi" literally means "wool for you".

Now, the obvious part is "Designs" because, well, I design patterns. Duh. But, what isn't so obvious about this part is, I am also looking into designing my own yarn! Granted, I have to catch up on my projects from last year (which I'm almost there! 🤞), but I'm looking forward to this new venture in my life. I promise to keep you posted on this as well as my new patterns!
